A very basic feature that I was missing in my Android phone is the ability to save a number while I’m in a call. Sure you can go to the home screen, and open up any app with a textbox, but I decided to create a dedicated application.
So, meet Number Saver!

Basic usage guide:
When you open the app you will get the main screen:
From here you are able to enter the number, copy to the clipboard, and clear the clipboard if it is full. Also, when you open the app, if there is a text in the clipboard it will already be in the text box. So you can press Dial to instantly dial the number
Also, during an active call you will notice the note and pencil icon. Stretching the notification area will give you the option to launch the application.

another simillar feature i am missing is a webpage phone numbers scanners.
when browsing through the web(on the android), yellow pages for example you cant copy (easliy at least) all the numbers of your search. an automated software that will extract all the numbers and maybe even creat a contact with all the numbers it finds on screen would be a leap forward in information finiding on Android 😛

Great little tool. It addresses another feature missing from mt HTC EVO (and maybe other phones) – the inability to call from a number you copied to the clipboard. I guess most apps let you call automatically if they recognize a phone number, but some don’t – this will pick up the clipboard contents and allow you to dial it. I’ll gladly make a donation!

PS – my old Palm Treo phone allowed paste in the phone app – I wonder why Android – or HTC – doesn’t …
